How it works

BespokeAI is a shop window for useful open-source apps, plus a handover to the AI you already use.

1. Find an app close to what you need

Every listing explains in plain language what the app does, what it costs to run, what happens to your data, and how easy it is to adapt. The code always lives on GitHub, pinned to an exact version that we've reviewed.

2. Say what you want

Click Tell my AI and describe your goal: features, look and feel, where you'll run it, and how you'll know it worked. We don't store what you write.

3. Paste one short prompt into your AI

Your prompt contains your wishes and two links:

  • our handover guide, which tells your AI how to work with you;
  • the app's project pack, which gives the exact version, how to run it and where to customise it.

Your AI then makes the changes itself, or guides you step by step if it can only chat.

The gentlest change first

We ask every AI to try, in order:

  1. the app's own settings;
  2. its official extensions (themes, plugins, API);
  3. only then code changes.

That way your version stays easy to update when the original app improves.

Safety

  • Your AI is told never to ask for passwords or keys in the chat, to back up your data first, and to check its work.
  • Text inside a project is treated as information, never as instructions.
  • The guide never changes after publication. New versions get new addresses.
